Trace’ll Remains Cancer Free!

Posted in Daily Updates by Amy Kimler on January 21, 2010

Happy Trace'll!

Monday Trace went to Vandy and had and EKG, echocardiogram, chest xray, pulmonary function tests, MRI of left scapula, lung ┬áCT and blood work drawn. We went in today to see Dr. Mixon and hear that the results were awesome! Trace’ll remains cancer free and will continue to have these tests every 3 months. Every time they are clear there is less chance of recurrent cancer. čÖé Trace is off to ice ┬áhockey practice on this stormy night and I am off to bed. (I have had the flu since Sun night and the tamiflu isn’t helping much… I think I might get a flu shot next year!)

Thank you for all of the prayers and hope to have more good news soon!

January 30 is Vandy Children’s Hospital night with the Predators! See you there!

Happy New Year!

Posted in Daily Updates by Amy Kimler on January 4, 2010

I can’t believe a whole year has gone by. It does go by fast especially when you are watching little ones grow up. Trace’ll is taller than me (which he keeps reminding me is no big deal), Maddie is not far behind and Cole Booney is growing at least! We had a great Christmas and it is always nice to just spend it together.

Trace’ll goes in January 18 for CAT scan of lungs and MRI of left scapula. (area-no scapula there) Please, pray for them ┬áto continue to be clear and for the spot on his lung to continue to stay the same size. (this is the spot that the doctors presume is scar. we don’t want scar to grow or shrink. they can’t do a biopsy due to the location of the spot) We see the radiation doctor and the oncologist on January 21 for the test results. Chris and I always get antsy when these times roll around.

The kids were going to ice skate on the ‘pond’ near our house yesterday, but it was not completely frozen. With this cold weather we are ┬áhaving right now, it may be frozen before the week is over. I am not really looking forward to school starting back, but it is coming anyway.

Hope everyone has a wonderful 2010!!
