The Perry's present Trace'll with his Make a Wish trip to the Winter Olympics

Last night we were invited to the Predators game and to eat at the Club before the game. During our dinner we were surprised by the Make a Wish team who were responsible for making his wish come true! His sponsor is Bubba Perry who has a son Trace’s age that is a good friend of Trace’s. Bobby was able to keep this secret for months!!! Bobby came in to the restaurant with a team USA jersey on. When Trace saw him (Trace didn’t notice the two news crews and multiple Make a Wish members that came in with Bobby…) he said, “What are you doing here and why do you have on that jersey?” The jersey was for Trace and was signed by Ryan Suter #20 (a Predator player) that is on team USA and we should see at the olympics. Trace was floored!

The details of the trip that we know so far are: We will be going February 23-March 1. A limo will transport us to the airport (Cole Booney said, “Oh my gosh! You guys will LOVE a limo. I have been in one before and I can tell you ALL about it!” We will be in Vancouver and will see the Gold Medal hockey game!!! We will also see another olympic hockey game and aerial ski jumps. We are so excited! We should get to ski or do some other fun activities while we are there. There are six Predators going to different hockey teams for the Olympics. They need to know that I will be looking for them to take pictures of them while we are there.

News Channel 4 and 2 were at the game last night and interviewed Trace about his trip and Make a Wish. Channel 4 ran the story last night and this morning and I am told they will have the story on their website today. (wsmv.com) It is now on wsmv.com under headlines. (click on more local news and then child with cancer going to olympics – or something along those lines 🙂 By the way, the camera adds 20 pounds and a southern drawl…

My brother and his wife, Ashley, had their little boy yesterday eight weeks early. Parker and Ashley and doing great! Parker weighs 3lbs and 5 ounces. We love you all!

Thank you to those that were able to share last night with us. It was a wonderful treat and something none of us will ever forget. The topper is the Predators won and we all got a free frosty!!

Have a great day!!
